16 February 2018. A networking conference on journalism was held at Rajshahi University (RU) aimed at enhancing journalism standards. Entitled “Journalism Education Institutions Networking Conference,” the event was jointly organized by RU’s Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (DMCJ) and DW Akademie. The heads of journalism departments from 20 private and public universities participated. RU Vice-chancellor Professor M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the day-long conference as the chief guest. RU Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Ananda Kumar Shaha and DW Akademie for Asia and Europe Head Michael Karhausen addressed the session as special guests. RU MCJ department Chairman Associate Professor Pradip Kumar Panday presided over the meeting.
