28 November 2018. The Communication and Journalism Department, University of Chittagong organized a day-long networking conference with the purpose of strengthening the network among the educators of public and private universities. It likewise highlighted the opportunities and challenges of digital journalism education in Bangladesh – showcasing the facilities at the department. Professor Dr. Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University was the event’s chief guest. The special guests included Professor Dr. Shireen Akhter, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Professor Dr. Farid Uddin Ahamed, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; Professor Dr. Golam Rahman, former Chief Information Commissioner and Priya Esselborn, Regional Coordinator, South Asia, DW Akademie.
