Global Alliance Calls for Contributions to Book on SDG 18: Responsible Communication for a Sustainable Future

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management is calling on scholars, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide to contribute to an upcoming edited volume titled Towards SDG 18: Responsible Communication for a Sustainable Future, to be published by Palgrave Macmillan or Routledge.
Building on the Global Alliance’s ongoing advocacy for the recognition of Responsible Communication as the proposed Sustainable Development Goal 18 (SDG 18), this publication will make a compelling case for communication as a cornerstone of sustainable development, democratic governance, and social trust.
“Responsible communication is the missing link that connects and strengthens all Sustainable Development Goals.” — Global Alliance
The edited volume will serve as both a white paper and an academic manifesto, highlighting diverse perspectives, case studies, and frameworks that demonstrate how responsible communication can help societies navigate the complex challenges of misinformation, digital inequality, and polarization.

• Notification of acceptance: 1 February 2026
• Full chapter submission: 30 April 2026
• Book launch: 15 November 2026 (World Public Relations Forum 2026)
