Four Bangladeshi Universities Partner with Asia Centre for Digital Security Workshop

Four private universities in Dhaka City have joined hands with Asia Centre and Google to host a Digital Security Workshop in November 2025, aimed at strengthening the resilience of high-risk users and digitally vulnerable groups against online threats. As part of Asia Centre’s regional initiative supported by Google, the training is designed to empower individuals such as women, youths, the elderly, people with disabilities, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), LGBTIQ+ communities, social figures, and micro-influencers. The program equips participants with essential knowledge and tools to safeguard their digital presence.

The participating universities and dates are:

  • Daffodil International University – November 10
  • University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) – November 13
  • American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) – November 14
  • State University Bangladesh (SUB) – Date to be announced

Under the project, Asia Centre offers two streams of training: End Beneficiaries Training, a one-time direct session for individuals at risk, and Training of Trainers (ToT), which prepares Master Trainers from partner organizations to sustain digital security education beyond the workshop.
