2 February 2020. Comilla University hosted the Third Communication and Journalism Educators’ Network (CJEN) Bangladesh at the Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD). The chief guest at the inaugural session was Comilla University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Emran Kabir Chowdhury while the special guest was Former Information Commissioner Prof. Dr. Golam Rahman. The conference featured a plenary session entitled: Changing Trends of Journalism: Challenges and Way Forward. It also showcased two technical sessions on mobile journalism and using technology for journalism in the digital age.
