The Communication and Journalism Educators’ Network (CJEN) Bangladesh has announced a new call for volunteers to re-constitute its Executive Committee as part of efforts to ensure the network’s functionality, sustainability, and nationwide impact.
CJEN serves as a collaborative platform for knowledge co-creation and teacher capacity building, working to enhance the quality of communication, journalism, and media education in Bangladesh. The renewed initiative comes at a critical time for media education and professional collaboration in the country.
The Executive Committee, originally formed in 2024, will now be expanded and refreshed to implement the CJEN strategic plan and introduce new ideas and energy into the network. The approximate term for members is two years.
Responsibilities Include:
- Implementing the CJEN strategic sustainability plan
- Actively contributing to CJEN communication platforms
- Collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen media education nationwide
The initiative continues to receive support from DW Akademie. One of CJEN’s founders, Prof. Dr. Jude William Genilo, has been requested to guide this process in 2026.
Application Process
Current Executive Committee Members who wish to continue may submit a formal email expressing their interest.
New Applicants are requested to submit by March 25, 2026:
